Grandma and Grandpa visit!
Yet again, we crammed so much into 4 short days that I don’t really know where to begin, and I don’t even really have photo help, since we were too busy to drag out the camera. But I did make everyone sit together on the couch for one Grandparent/Grandkid grand portrait:
And this was the best I could do, getting both kids to look near the camera at the same time.
And Jim got another cutie pie picture of Mol at ballet:
And if you have the time, here is a video of her dancing.
And one more picture of the way you can find the kids lately, playing intently, surrounded by Legos:
Other than that we were too busy reading and playing and eating and the kids were so excited to show Grandma and Grandpa their daily routines of school and ballet and golf, not to mention more eating, celebrating, eating and shopping… the only other activity we squeezed in was a trip to Disney Concert Hall for an amazing Afghan concert and ballet performance, after which the kids got to make some very cool crafts (Jacob made a kite and Molly did some tile coloring…). But we had an action packed visit and tons of fun (did I mention that the kids got the coolest new sheets and blankets that they picked out?) and Jacob sobbed all the way home from the airport. He insisted on calling Mom and Jim before they got on their plane, and through his tears I heard him telling them, “I am crying because I love you so much I miss you already…” And if that doesn’t sum up a wonderful lovefest of a weekend, I don’t know what does!
